Sewn, Found, Printed, Cut, Created, Reused. I’m driven by so many creative processes! Sewing, screen printing, designing. I love working with found objects to make mixed media pieces, or re-purposing clothing into raw materials. The act of giving a new use to objects that are finished with their original purpose, really gets me excited. I’m also using new materials and creating work that reflects my personal sense of joy, humor and romance. These are the three elements that turn my pieces into a collection! ecaruso.handmade. Elizabeth Caruso, the artist behind ecaruso.handmade, lives and works in Providence, RI. A graduate of Montserrat College of Art she has worked in many mediums and brought those experiences to the creation of ecaruso.handmade in 2011.
